Frequently asked questions about WEEE recycling
Answers about WEEE recycling, collection in Bucharest and Ilfov, ESG, EV batteries, solar panels and secure destruction.
What is WEEE?
WEEE means waste electrical and electronic equipment: computers, appliances, cables, servers, ATMs, medical devices and lighting.
Where do you collect?
We collect in Bucharest, all 41 counties of Romania and internationally. Our address and contact details are on the contact page.
Do you collect e-waste in Bucharest and Ilfov?
Yes. We serve the capital and all of Ilfov County, scheduled according to volume.
What documents do I get for ESG reporting?
Transport and handover documents, records by category and, for secure destruction, a destruction record. They support your own records; reporting remains your company’s responsibility.
How does WEEE recycling help with CSRD and Scope 3 reporting?
Data on quantities, categories and material destination supports the waste and circular-economy disclosures under ESRS E5 and Scope 3 emissions accounting.
Do you recycle EV batteries?
Yes. We assess, dismantle, discharge and recycle lithium-ion batteries under special safety procedures.
Do you recycle solar panels?
Yes. End-of-life panels are dismantled and the glass, aluminium, copper and silicon are recovered.
How does secure destruction work?
IT equipment and storage media are destroyed in a controlled process and you receive a destruction record. The resulting materials are recycled.
Who do I contact for a quote?
Email info@weee-do-recycling.com with the waste type, quantity and pickup location.
What does the 200-year vision mean?
It means building a company that recovers resources generation after generation: properly recycled metals can be reused almost indefinitely.
Do you operate internationally?
Yes. We operate beyond Romania and assess each request by pickup country, waste type and quantity.
What is ESRS E5?
ESRS E5 is the European reporting standard on resource use and the circular economy, part of the CSRD framework.
What does Scope 3 mean for waste?
Scope 3 covers indirect value-chain emissions, including those linked to waste generated in operations and end-of-life treatment of products.
How do I prove the waste was recycled?
Through transport and handover documents, records by category and information on where recovered fractions went.
Can I use your data in a sustainability report?
The documents and records you receive can support your report; validation and ownership of the reporting rest with your company and its auditor.
What is the urban mine?
The urban mine means the metal resources held in waste and end-of-life equipment, which can be recovered instead of mined from nature.
Which countries do you cover?
We do not limit activity to a fixed list. Tell us the country and pickup location and we confirm how we can organise collection and transport.
How are documents handled for cross-border shipments?
We coordinate the required documents and notifications in line with the regulations applicable to waste shipments.
Can I get unified reporting across several countries?
Yes. We provide records and documents in a common structure that helps you consolidate data for group reporting.
